Cryolipolysis/ Fat Freeze

Cryolipolysis involves freezing fat cells in specific areas of the body.  The degree of cooling results in apoptosis (cell death) of subcutaneous fat tissue.  The cells are then transported from your body naturally by your lymphatic system.

The area to be treated will be reviewed in order to ascertain the best angle and positioning of the treatment heads prior to commencement.

An anti-freeze membrane will be placed on the treatment area to protect your skin.

Discomfort is sometimes felt, usually as the cooling begins, alongside some pulling, tugging, stinging as the vacuum draws the treatment area into the hand piece.

It is not uncommon after the treatment to have redness, swelling, bruising, tingling or sensitivity.

The results of the treatment can take a minimum of 4-6 weeks to be visible.

The suitability of the area to be treated will be reviewed.

Dependent upon the desired results further treatments may be required, however a minimum of one month interval is necessary.
