Hypnotherapy works by guiding you into a state of trance, in which we all experience naturally day to day. For example; have you ever been so engrossed in a book or film that for a moment you are not aware of your surroundings? Or been driving on a familiar route, reaching your destination, only to realise you can’t remember most of the journey? These are natural trance states; you also experience these states whilst drifting off to sleep and day dreaming. The only difference in a Hypnotherapy session is the Therapist will guide you with their voice using guided imagery and positive suggestions.
