The laser energy penetrates down to the fat cells and creates tiny holes in their membranes. This causes the fat cells to release their contents and then shrink.
Little if anything is felt during the laser lipo treatment.
It is important to realise for both treatments that this fat is not being removed from the body – it will be transported to the liver for metabolism via the lymphatic system. To achieve best results clients need to exercise following treatment, drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol and also to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
